silly salutations

Have you ever introduced yourself to someone and thought WOW that was awkward? Well, it could have been worse! Silly Salutations is a collection of real things I’ve said to start a conversation. This project was inspired by a list that my coworkers and I started when I worked at a local Indianapolis theatre. I frequently said idioms or random things that weren’t quite right and made us laugh. So often, that a list was created and I carried it with me after departing the theatre and continued to add to it.

The project has been opened to the community to join in either by sending me their silly salutation here or submitting their own on social media using #sillysalutations. It’s a fun way for artists and letterers to connect and spread joy and laughter.
